If you’re looking to take advantage of Kentucky’s year-round temperate climate, Louisville offers many opportunities for fun in the fresh air. Read on to discover three sites for outdoor activities in the Louisville area. Best of all, they are only a short distance from our Louisville, KY apartments.

Goodbounce Pickleball Yard

Goodbounce is Louisville’s newest pickleball yard. Along with pickleball courts, this venue features a variety of food and drinks. While Goodbounce welcomes players of all levels, it offers lessons for people who’ve never played the sport before. After your game, you can snack on tacos or burgers from Goodbounce’s food truck or sample their tiki-style drinks. The pickleball venue also hosts private events.

Louisville Equestrian Center

Is there a better city to learn horseback riding than the home of the Kentucky Derby? The Louisville Equestrian Center gives lessons for riders of all levels. Take private or group lessons with horses of all sizes and abilities. The Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.

Classic Biplane Tours

The Classic Biplane Tours offer a different sightseeing option than the typical bus tours. These planes take two passengers on 20, 30, and 40-minute flight tours. You’ll get to see Louisville tourist attractions like Slugger Field, Waterfront Park, and Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium from above. The 40-minute flight adds a brief detour around Charlestown, Indiana.

After your outdoor fun, grab a meal at a Mexican restaurant in Louisville. Guacamole Modern Mexican is an exciting eatery with rooms with their own themese, like the Tulum or Frida Kahlo room. If you have questions about living at Axis on Lexington, contact us. We’d be delighted to give you more information and a private tour of our apartments in Louisville, KY.
