Step into Climb NuLu for some bouldering fun. That means you’ll climb without the use of ropes or harnesses. All skill levels are welcome, and the challenging routes frequently change to keep you coming back for more. Those new to the sport can enjoy Climbing 101. Instructor Seth Pierce helps students improve their skills and techniques in a laid-back setting. The class is held on Wednesdays, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Be sure and register a day in advance. Climb NuLu offers both day passes and memberships. 

Rock Gem Climbing Center 

The Rock Gem Climbing Center was built in 1998. It reopened in 2014 after a Louisville climber wanted to offer a place where the community could enjoy an inspiring, motivating atmosphere. No experience is necessary. The skilled staff will show you everything you know to get started. Day passes are currently sixteen dollars, and both harness and shoe rentals are available. 

RockSport 

When the Rocksport Climbing Center opened in 1996, it became the first climbing gym in Louisville. Founder Rob Butsch wanted a place to train as a competitive climber while teaching others about the sport. Today, Dale Pettit owns the gym, now known simply as RockSport. It features 12,000 square feet of bouldering, top-roping, and lead climbing, and the routes are as fun as they are challenging.
